Can anyone help me out? I really want to download this album, but I can’t seem to get the link or navigate the site. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Thats what Wehrwolf is, according to the German Wikipedia.

    • Well, that’s it if you write a “h” after the first “e” and omit the second. Since the German word stem “Wehr” means something like “defence” (compare “Feuerwehr” = fire brigade, “Bürgerwehr” = militia), this name given to this paramilitary unit (nowadays we would call this a “terrorist organisation”) can also be interpreted as a pun on both “Wehr” and “Werwolf”, meaning something like a “defending/fighting wolf” and also to turn civilians into terrorists/combattants.

Regarding this, the name is clearly visible as “Werewolf”, and even if it was named after the mentioned Nazi movement, I must admit that the Russians have a crazy humour. Ever came across the band Adolf Castle with their album “Really Crazy Germans”?

  3. According to Metal Archives they released the Lycanthrophy EP under the name Wehrwolf Division in 1994, split-up in ’95 and re-united in 2006 as Werewolf Division.

  4. German for Werewolf is “Werwolf” (without h). Wehr is a sort of “fighting unit” (firefighters or army), thus Wehrwolf would have a completely different meaning but I guess it is just an error.

  5. Oh what the hell, nice Band from Russia, very enjoyable piece of Metal!
And by the way, they’re written “WEREWOLF” not the German equivalent!
